My hairdressing career began in 1983 and I’m still as passionate about the industry as ever.
I travelled to Rome in 1987 to hone my skills and worked there until I moved to London in late 1988.
In 1990 I opened a salon in Hampstead, North London called Mad Lillies Haircutters. This led to a second salon in Marylebone, London which allowed for us to be involved in London Fashion week. My team and I worked with some of the biggest name in the hair industry.
In 2004 I sold the company which allowed me to move to Melbourne with my young family.
A year later in 2005 I joined Heading Out Hair and by 2007 we opened the flagship store on Bourke Street, which won salon design of the year in Australia and flourished for over a decade.
Fast forward to 2019 and my wonderfully talented team and i have relaunched Mad Lillie’s in Melbourne CBD .
The goal is to grow a team of hairdressers to be leaders in the industry through continuous training, coaching and mentoring. The focus is, and always will be good hair.
Grace began her career in Peter Marks busiest salon in Dublin, Ireland, almost ten years ago. With a salon of over sixty staff, Grace loved the creativity and buzz the salon generated each day. After nearly four years with Peter Mark (Ireland’s largest group of salons) she decided to travel….
After moving to Australia in August of ‘14, Grace joined Lee and his team. Within three months of working front of house she was promoted to Salon Manager. Being the first person you see when you walk in the salon, you are guaranteed to be greeted with a friendly, warm smile.
Grace became, very quickly, the heart and soul of the salon- its obvious to staff / clients that she adores her work. Her personality is infectious and her ability to make people feel relaxed, welcome and at home is unique.
Her knowledge in all that is hair / products is enough to make any stylist envious. She has worked closely with major brands (such as Kerastase) across Europe and Australia and is always keeping not only herself but staff up to date in a fast paced industry.
Give Grace a call to make an appointment at Mad Lillie’s today!
Ciara arrived in Australia from Ireland in July 2014.
She traveled extensively and decided to settle in Melbourne. We snapped her up in January 2015. Ciara started her apprenticeship with us and has been trained by our very own. Being a natural behind the chair she finished her apprenticeship 6 months early with flying colours.
Ciara is not only a popular member of staff, she is beloved by her clients.
Over the years she had made amazing relationships with our clientele and always goes the extra mile for them.
One of her specialties is hair repair - Ciara has tried many hair repair treatments and has discovered Terre a Mer to be the best on the market.

Georgia began her hairdressing career in the mid naughties in London. Her apprenticeship began in one of Toni & Guy’s busiest salons in Covent Garden.
After graduating with a distinction she decided to focus her attention on education and cutting. Within a few short years she had flown up the ranks of Tony & Guy and went from Stylist to Head Educator.
Georgia was soon promoted to assistant manager when she had won over not only the Tony and Guy management, but the employees and staff.
Georgia has always built and maintained a loyal clientele. Whilst this consists of a great mixture of male and female clients who profess to have ‘‘typically difficult hair’’. Gerogias forte is cutting all hair types from thick to fine, frizzy, unmanageable hair. This principle stylist is your go to for any cutting need.
